If you are involved sexually with multiple partners, then also it is highly recommended to undergo STD screening or STD risk assessment test. It is also advised for people who have had unprotected sex with someone who has STDs or with someone who has multiple sexual partners. In healthy individuals many STDs have no signs or symptoms (asymptomatic), however, you can pass the infection to your sex partners.

Do you need additional test if any STD test comes positive?
Yes. Most of the times to rule out false positive results, doctors recommend additional confirmatory tests for the particular STD which has come positive during screening process. E.g., If HIV tridot test comes positive then HIV duo (4th Generation) or HIV ELISA and Western blot tests are done to confirm the infection.
